Steel Beams

Industrial buildings are constructed with steel frames.   When you are walking through one of these you will see vertical pieces of thick steel called beams.   Often they are called I-beams because if you look at their shape they are like a capital letter I depending on the font.   The beams are not only vertical but they also run horizontally supporting the roof.
