Screws

Screws look similar to bolts at first glance but are quite different.   They do not work with a nut, rather, they have a pointed tip meant to pierce whatever surface they are being screwed into.   Some are designed for wood, others for drywall and even sheet metal.

Sample sentences:

Many screws fell on the floor and were lost.

George’s screwdriver had a magnetic tip which held onto the screw until it was in the hole.

The screws come in boxes of five thousand.
