Nouns and Verbs

Some words can be used as both a noun and a verb.   What about in your mother tongue?  Today I will look at the word weld and lift.

Weld the bracket to the post.  (Weld as a verb)

Inspect the quality of your welds.  (Weld as a noun)

He was lifting a heavy box.   (Lift as a verb)

The lift could not reach the top shelf.  (Lift as a noun, referring to a forklift or a scissor lift)
