What is an operator?
An operator in a factory is someone who controls a piece of equipment or machinery. Sometimes the machinery is very complicated and sometimes it is simple. It might be a forklift, a stamping press or an electrical drill. Despite how difficult or easy the equipment is to operate, the person who does so is responsible for their safety and the people around them. They are also responsible for the quality of the product they are making. They do not just push buttons.
