Aluminum

Aluminum is a silver gray metal that is very light.   It is used to make things like soda (another word for a soda is pop) cans, aluminum foil, and airplanes.   Large amounts of electricity is required in its refining process.

Just a note about aluminum foil, it is sometimes called tin foil.   Even though this is inaccurate since there is no tin in aluminum foil, it is still a very common phrase.   If you have heard the phrase, “he has a tin foil hat” picture someone who made a hat out of aluminum foil and put it on their head.
