All about the Roof
The roof of a factory is the top surface on the outside. I say this because sometimes people mix up “ceiling” and “roof”. In houses roofs are sloped but factory buildings are usually flat (at least the ones I worked in have been). In northern climates with snow, ice and temperature changes the seal starts to weaken over time. Sometimes they start to leak and need to be repaired. If you were walking on a roof the surface is often coated with a black tar-like substance or sometimes with little stones. As well you might see a big air conditioning unit or ventilation of some kind.
