Grammar Friday:  The Parts of Speech

The parts of speech are ways to categorize words according to what they do.   Some modern experts in English say there are nine parts but we will stick with eight for simplicity.   I plan to cover a different part of speech each Friday until I have gone through all of them.   Here they are are:


  • Adjectives, Adverbs, Conjunctions, Interjections, Nouns, Prepositions, Pronouns and verbs
